Currently...January 2018

I'm running a little behind, posting this one! In my defense, this month has flown by. I feel like I was just writing my "Currently" post for December. It seems like every year, the holidays speed by faster and faster, and before we know it, we are well into the new year.

So let's jump in! Here are a few things that are on my radar, right now.

Currently January 2018

Reading:

Something About You (FBI/US Attorney Book 1) by Julie James This definitely isn't a new book. In fact, it's several years old, but after finishing a somewhat darker book (The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden, if you're interested, here is my GoodReads review). I wanted to find something a little lighter to read. This one has been a good choice, so far. I'm also looking forward to reading more in this series, and by this author.

Listening:

Criminal Podcast I am a little late to the Criminal fan club, but I still wanted to share my love for it. I enjoy true crime stories and I have enjoyed listening to Serial in the past, so I started searching for similar podcasts, and I found Criminal. The episodes are all based around a different crime, instead of building on the same crime over time. You can find this one here on iTunes.

Planning:

Valentine's Day! The holiday falls right in the middle of the work week, this year. That means Justin and I will be celebrating on the weekend before or after. Currently, we are planning to go to a Valentine's dinner at our church and we will probably have a date night out in Nashville as well. We are still working out the details!

Watching:

Blindspot I have watched Blindspot since season one, and while I am not loving this season so far, I still can't miss an episode. There are a lot of procedural crime dramas out (I see you Law & Order: SVU, and I love you too), but this one has an interesting spin. If you have never seen it, you should definitely check out season one!

Drinking:

Coffee with International Delight Reese's creamer. Basically any kind of coffee will do, when you add this delicious new creamer. I love some Reese's! They are definitely my favorite guilty pleasure, so it's awesome to add a little of that flavor to my morning coffee.

Enjoying:

My Faith Planner/Journal I started keeping a traveler's notebook for all of my faith-related notebooks. The TN is by Webster's Pages and it houses notebooks for sermon notes, bible study, prayer journaling, and a gratitude log. I have been more consistent about using it daily, since I have switched to this system.

Wearing:

Pandora Bracelet I have had my bracelet for a few years now, but now it is officially full! If I get any more charms I will need a new bracelet, for sure. I love wearing it, because it is full of memories of the last four years of my life. I have gotten charms from my mom, my sister, my husband, my in-laws, and my friends. I cherish every last one.

Feeling:

Healthy As usual, I have made it one of my New Year's resolutions to eat better and workout more. Justin and I are in it together. We have both lost 20-30 pounds in the past and the holidays helped us put some of that back on, but since the beginning of the year we have lost a few pounds and we have been consistent about working out and making healthy food choices. I'm already feeling better mentally and physically, so that has been the biggest victory so far!

That's it for January! I still can't believe this month is about to wrap up.

Until next time!

Much Love,

Kimberly
