It's so hard to believe that March is already coming to and end. It feels like I was just celebrating New Year's Eve, but here we are, less than 48 hours until April. I thought this would be a good time to share a few of the things that are currently on my mind.
The Drowned Girls. If you like Law and Order: SVU, then you will definitely enjoy this book. It has the same police procedural feel, with a heavy dose of romance. I haven't finished it yet, so I don't know how it ends, but I have been sucked into the plot and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.
IUI/Fertility Treatment. Previously, I shared a little about my experiences with infertility and in the future I am sure I will share more, because we are currently in the middle of a medicated IUI cycle. This is all uncharted territory for me, so I am learning as I go, and I will try my best to share my open and honest opinion throughout this process. If you are going through a similar journey and love the socks in my main image (The Dream, Believe, Conceive socks), you can find them on Etsy: Here.
iZombie I am not usually a guts and gore kind of person. My husband loves The Walking Dead, but I can't stand to see the fake blood and zombies, but iZombie is different. Yes, there are a few scenes that I would consider gross, but over all, it is more of a light-hearted and funny "dramedy" of sorts. If you were a fan of Veronica Mars, you have got to check this show out! It's by the same mastermind, Rob Thomas. It also features a super spunky, lead female, similar to Veronica. What are you waiting for? Season 4 is streaming now on the CW!
Dunkin' Donuts Peanut Butter Cookie Iced Coffee I am not ashamed to admit I am an addict. The Girl Scout Cookie flavors are a new feature at Dunkin' Donuts right now and I think I may cry when they take them away. I always grab a Iced Coffee with almond milk and peanut butter cookie swirl after hitting the gym. It's my reward for working out and it is oh, so good!
Filofax Pocket Malden I switched planners. Again. Don't you judge me! I have wanted to make a pocket planner work for me, because the portability and functionality can't be beat. I love being able to use it as my wallet and planner. I can keep my whole life in this tiny, leather binder. My only struggle has been the lack of decorating, but I have decided to use a moleskin (as a bullet journal) for creativity and I'm just going to keep my Filofax functional, with just a dash of cute.
Mint Tieks Okay, I haven't actually worn them, yet. However, they came in the mail this week and I can't wait to take them out for test drive. If you have been on the fence about Tieks (I know the price can be intimidating), then allow me to push you over to the dark side. I bought my first pair over a year ago. I still wear them constantly! I took them to Taiwan and I walked miles in them, with very little complaints. I'm not going to lie and tell you they are as comfortable as a pair of good sneakers, but if you want cute, color poppin' footwear, without paying for it later (blisters, anyone?) then Tieks are definitely the way to go!
Busy I feel like there is never a dull moment, these days. We are trying to get through these fertility treatments without weathering too much damage, there are anniversary trip plans floating around, and we are both busy with our own jobs as well. Sometimes, I have to remember to stop and take a breath. It's important to take a few hours to just decompress, instead of rushing from one thing to the next, even if that means the floors don't get swept today. It's all a great balancing act.
Well, that pretty much sums up my March! What have you been up to this month? Let me know!
Until next time!
