Hey ladies! I was excited to get my Ipsy glam bag this week, and I couldn't wait to show you what I received. I haven't done a glam bag post in a few months, so I am long overdue for one. If you have never heard of Ipsy, it's a subscription service that you pay 10 dollars a month for. Each month, you get a cute make up bag (known as the "glam bag") filled with five deluxe sample (and usually at least one full size) beauty products. You fill out a profile before you receive the first one and that is how they judge what colors and types of beauty products to send you.
Now that you know what Ipsy is all about, let's jump into my glam bag for this month!
Y'all, this month's bag is so stinkin' cute! It's literally designed for you to unleash your inner creativity. It features a thick black and white fabric, covered in multi-cultural women and they include two little fabric markers to color with. This is the largest bag I have received, since starting my subscription, last year. I have already started coloring!
Pink Pewter - Splash and Swirl Makeup Sponge
This little makeup sponge is double sided. One side is rounded, for all-over coverage and the other side is wedged, for detail work. It's soft, yet durable and it's just plain cute! Check it out for yourself: Pink Pewter.
Glossier - Balm Dotcom in Coconut
This is a thick balm that can be used for more than just your lips. I recently used it on my cuticles and it already has them looking less ragged. A little goes a long way! The smell isn't over powering, it's just a hint of coconut. I will definitely keep using this. You can find the full size product here: Glossier.
Twila True Beauty - True Renewal Oil
I never had used oil on my skin until trying this product. I'm not sure why. I have super dry skin, especially in the winter, but I guess I just always felt like oil would make it...well, oily. I started buy trying on my hands and I was shocked to see that it absorbed quickly and my hands loved the moisture! I dabbed a little on the dry spots on my face and was pleased to see them soften up. Just like the balm above, a little goes a long way with this oil, but don't be afraid of it. Especially if you have dry skin like me. You can find it here: Twila True Beauty.
Eyeko - Lash Alert Mascara in Carbon Black
I am a mascara junkie! There are many days that I don't even put on make up, except for a good mascara and some lip gloss. Whenever I get a tube of mascara in my glam bag, it's always the first thing I try out and I have to say this is definitely a good one. The brush is small and curved and the bristles are fine. That makes for an excellent, lash-defining mascara. It doesn't add much to the thickness of my lashes, but it definitely adds curl and length and helps to separate. You can find this sweet stuff here: Eyeko.
Kokie Cosmetics - Lip Veneer Cream Gloss in Unspoken
This cream gloss goes on smooth and it actually lasts! I have been sipping on a drink, since putting it on, and only a small amount has rubbed off. My lips still feel smooth and the color is nicely pigmented. It doesn't feel sticky at all. The shade I got was okay, but I would love to have this in brighter shades! Check it out here: Kokie Cosmetics.
That's it for this month's glam bag. If you are interested in signing up for your own monthly glam bag, use my referral link here: Start Getting Glam Bags!
